New Job, New Apartment

It's official -- I'm employed! I just landed a job with Conney Safety Products in Madison, Wisconsin. I'll be a business-to-business safety products sales girl! (Wish me luck!) I'm am excited to land my first job and have something to do while JJ is at work. It's a regular Monday through Friday 8-5 job which thrills me to no end.

In addition to being thrilled to start my new job, I'm also thrilled to move into JJ and my new apartment! After living with JJ several weeks and landing a job, my stay in Madison became instantly permanent. It took me two trips from Columbus to get all my things here and I felt rather crammed and confided in JJ's apartment. JJ's landlord decided to let JJ switch his lease from a one-bedroom, one-bath apartment to a two-bedroom, one-and-half-bath apartment only one floor below where we are now. I am soooo excited for the extra space and have already claimed the larger bathroom as my own. :)

Since no one is currently living in the unit, JJ and I are allowed to "move in slowly" which in nice and doesn't feel too rushed -- although I'd like to be moved in and comfortable before I start my job Monday, August 31.

The temperature is down this week and I spent about an hour outside on our patio tonight just looking at the stars. It was peaceful... especially since there was some sort of tribal music radiating from the apartment below us.
